I had to wade in on the Newtown tragedy because of the debate about why God would let this happen. Okay people, pay attention!
Some people continue to confuse God standards and commandments with Man's standards and laws. A lot of people have turned their backs on God. Others have denied his existence and still others have mocked or cursed him. One person, in an article I read, even went so far as to post so called negative things that God did in the old testament, like plagues. Oh, ye of little faith. God is almighty and created mankind from dust! We are like insects and like it or not he holds the ultimate power and will have the final say so. You are breathing and waking up every morning because he decided to bestow the gift of life to mankind. Since the garden of Eden we all were given free will , that is why we are free to pervert his standards of man and woman(homosexuality), lie, cheat, steal, murder, have abortions, prostitute, rape, create dangerous drugs, create other religions and so forth. We have been lulled into thinking that if mankind's laws states that it is ok than it is lawfully and morally permissable. There is evil in this world, remember satan?, He is known as the great deceiver and he is loose to try to coerce as many people to do his bidding. Therefore mankind will always have a tug of war with freewill. I don't know if the Newtown tragedy was a result of a deranged killer, bad parenting or pure evilness. I do know that there is free will among mankind to do good or bad things to each other. I say this because kids are killed all the time in urban communties in the U.S and killed all across the world. All of these killings are just as tragic because a parent lost an innocent child. We have consequences here on earth, but there is a much worse one yet to come. You can question the creator that gave you life or you can try to be a better human being and follow his commandments. God is not flesh and need not physical things, he deals with the souls and spirits. Humans are flesh and do need physical things. The children of Newtown and all children of the world who died young, their souls have gone to a better place. If you don't believe in God then this writing is of no consequence to you and you can continue to not believe and revile the being that put you here. Remember we all will die one day, such is the order of things. You will not be able to atone and figure out anything when that happens. Are you willing to keep rolling the dice and hoping that you are correct in the asumption that there is no God or that you have a thing or two to tell him about how he is running things? One last thing, there are no appeals courts on judgement day.
